About

About Me

I’m on a mission to help bring functionality and beauty to the world by working towards my potential as a developer, designer, and creative problem solver. As an artist early on, I actually resisted the trend towards digitalization. There was an element of authenticity that I was afraid would be taken away. I’ve since learned that taking that stance was a waste of time, and that the creative potential that i can express through utilizing digital art forms is exponentially greater.

On top of exploring digital art, my curiosity and hunger to learn a variety of skills led me to complete the Full-Stack Web Development Bootcamp at Nashville Software School, where I grew to love programming software. While in this program I got to collaborate with classmates in a very professional-like atmosphere - reporting to the scrum master and facilitating tickets amongst team members in order to meet deadlines. I also built two personal applications that I will describe more below. I believe these projects showcase my understanding of both client side and server side programming languages and strategies as well as my ability to solve complex problems.

I think that my abilities to learn and problem solve matched with my eye for design will make me an effective addition to most dev and/or design teams.

Macro-Manage is designed to help users catalog their favorite meals and control macro-nutrient intake. Macro Manage displays a list of foods stored by users, with nutrient contents, and allows users to compile their favorite foods into meals that meet the user's desired macro intake

A social app geared to help new yogis learn the 26 postures of Bikram (hot) yoga. Users can browse the different postures and get some instruction before ever walking into their first class, as well as connect with other yogis to ask questions and share their knowledge.
